    As of 2007, disk wipes are no longer NISPOM approved.  Simple shredding in any form of magnetic memory has never been approved for "Confidential" or "Top Secret" magnetic material.  Even a shard of a shredded hard drive platter can hold recoverable infomation viewable through microscopy.  Shredding only makes a hard drive platter smaller; not unreadable.

    Our proprietary five step process guarantees that information cannot be recovered.  We literally deconstruct a hard drive down to its core components including removing the printed circuit board.  Next, each drive is degaussed with four passes in a 5,000 Oersted degausser.  We then physically remove all magnetic media from the platters using 50,000 Fahrenheit of heat from a plasma cutter.  Finally, we responsibly recycle all printed circuit board, aluminum and steel components.
